Matt's Graduation & Visit

950 miles there and its hot. Hell Yeah!

I took another road trip down to Southern California for Matt's High School graduation. It was a nice relaxing weekend, and I got to see a lot of friends and such. Afterwards, he drove back with me and hung out for a week and a half back in Idaho. Two highlights of the trip included eating at In-and-Out and Los Jilbertos. Yeah, good food.

Matt and I had issues on our drive back traveling through Utah and trying to find a place to watch the Lakers playoff game. I got quite upset at the quality of Utah's people and their desire to close their restaurants at 7pm and not have TVs in them, but then the Lakers started sucking a fat egg in the fourth quarter, and I was happy that we were back on the road. Got home at 1am and was up at 630 for work. YES!. The only thing that rivaled that was when I woke up at 3am to take him to the airport 3 hours away, then had to come back and work until 5.

I'm sure a lot of you people out there with real jobs are laughing at me and thinking none of that is a big deal. "Try working in the real world Mike, I'll show you hard work." But you know what. Seriously. I mean come on. Where's the beach?
